Nikko and Sake

Home scale sake factory When we talked about japanese, we can separate sake from them. They drink sake in any occassions and they loved sake very much. So thats why, it was very interesting when there was program to visit sake factory, even if i do not drink sake.  We visited Sake Factory, and this is traditional home industry factory. A young man in picture below is the owner, 7th generation sake owner :).  7th generation owner This sake factory establish since year 1800. Such a long time :) . This sake factory smelt like "Tape Ketan", because sake was made from fermented rice. Microorganism called "Koji" in japanese helps the fermentation process, or in scientific name its one kind of Aspergillus.  Storage drum Their small lab I saw many storage drums for sake liqour and rice.They made big storage, because they produce sake in winter only. Pulang

Ini hari pertamaku pindah ke apartemen baru. Dengan pekerjaan baruku saat ini , aku mampu membayar uang sewa apartemen kategori menengah di sini. Balkon kamarku ini sangat indah. Persis seperti apa yang kuimpiakan. Ada danau kecil di depannya, barisan pohon hijau yang berubah warna seiring berubahnya musim. Tak hanya itu, ada puluhan bebek yang berenang dan bermain di danau setiap pagi dan sorenya sambil mengelurakan suara khas, yang bersahut-sahutan dengan burung air lainnya. Tak terlewatkan juga sejenis burung merpati, burung madu serta burung gagak hitam yang berjalan-jalan menambah deretan keindahan balkon ini. Sempurna, seperti yang aku baca di kebanyakan novel-novel romantis itu. Pagi pertama ini, aku membuka jendela lebar-lebar dengan secangkir kopi panas di genggaman. Trip to Tofu Factory

About 2 weeks ago, I went to Nikko city. I joined Japanese cultural Trip from International Student Center, and again its for free.. Hohooohoho.. We visited Tofu Factory, Nikko Old City, and also Sake Factory. But in this post I would like to write the activity on tofu factory only and will write about the others next time. We visited Taisho tofu factory, which is very famous in japan.  This what japanese tofu look liked. Priced IDR 15 .000 for one small pack , Tofu is very famous food in japan. And for sure, the price of tofu is more expensive compare to beef. Japanese believe that tofu is very good for diet because its contained low caloriess and also nutritious. Yup, I am agree. Tofu in japan, had very different taste compare to tofu in Indonesia. Here is very very soft. Usually people here, just put an soyu sauce and eat the tofu directly.
